World Cup 2018


World’s biggest festival is in the horizon and world is going to shrink to Russia for a month. World’s biggest teams and players across the world will compete in the Russian turf for the ultimate prize in the world football. The showdown starts on June 14 at the capital city, Moscow when the hosts come face to face with the Asian qualifiers Saudi Arabia in the Luzhniki stadium. The national stadium of Russia with seating capacity of 81,000 is the one of the biggest stadium in Europe.

Besides the Moskva River on western Russia, city will wake the world once again with the memories of the past.
      
                                                                                                                    
The world is going to know a bit more about the world’s largest country. The cultural and geographical richness will thrill the pouring football fans from all over the world. The all well prepared 12 playing venues in 11 cities gives the traveling fans an exotic and chilly experience. 

Venue cities – Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sochi, Yekaterinburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod,  Rostov-on-Don, Samara, Saransk, Volgograd, Kaliningrad.

Zabivaka the Siberian Wolf
Official mascot of the world Cup 2018 is Zabivaka the Siberian wolf. Zabivaka (russian) means "The one who scores". Mascot selected by internet voting, Unveiled on 21st October 2016. The anthropomorphic character was designed by the graphic designer student Ekaterina Bocahrova. 

Another famed place to visit in the event is St. Petersburg, the cultural port city on Baltic Sea. The city alone houses large number of libraries, museums, theaters, nightclubs, concert halls etc. The main destinations are the Hermitage museum, winter palace, Peterhof palace, Peter & Paul fortress, Church of the Savior on Blood.
