International Labour Organization (ILO)

  International Labour Organization is an agency dealing with international labour standards. It was formed in 1919 at Geneva, Switzerland. Currently ILO has 187 member states. 
  ILO has a tripartite governing structure representing governments, employers & workers.
International Labour Conference is called the 'Parliament of Labour' which is held every year in June at Geneva, Switzerland. Every state represents delegates in governments, employers & workers levels.In 1946, ILO became an agency of UN.
ILO won the Nobel peace prize in 1969 for improving the standards of working class, peace among them, providing justice for the right.

International programme on elimination of child labour started by ILO in 1992. It was aimed at gradual elimination of child labour worldwide.
ILO provides for the battle against forced labour, obtaining minimum wages, work place discriminations etc.
