World Economic Forum

World Economic Forum Headquarters, Geneva, Switzerland

     It is an international non-profit foundation based on Cologny municipality at Geneva, Switzerland. The attraction of forum is the annual meetings which bring together a larger number of business leaders, political leaders, economists, journalists and prominent figures were they discuss the most important economic issues faced by the world. The organization also convenes a number of regional meetings to discuss the regional matters.

History

   

   Forum first formed by Klaus Schwab, a German business professor under the name European Management Forum in the University of Geneva in 1971.In 1987 it became World Economic Forum & in 2015 formally recognized as an international body.

Activities

   

   Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report (TTCR) is published by World Economic Forum. The first report was in 2007 including 124 major & emerging economies. This index is the measurement of factors which make it attractive to develop business in the travel & tourism industry of individual countries.
